A great place for photos, or to have a coffee and chat! Even great to just take a seat and bask in the view of the River Valley! It’s beautiful (at least to me), year round!
It's an excellent way to enjoy a day downtown. We are seeing the changing colours of the leaves and falling off from the trees. A lovely walk up and down while the warm sun hits your face and air-cooled in those steps. And once you are tired, you can use the funicular going up to see the perfect view of the River Valley and Fairmont Hotel. Enjoy the cool breeze and scenery ☺️.

Easy access for anybody to beautiful surrounding a wonderful Serene place
Interesting? Not really. Just amazed that the city spent so much on an elevator. I think I'm a little old fashioned because I'm okay with the old wooden stairs. But, if it increases tourist numbers, then fine. I think it's more of an eye sore when the river valley should be untouched natural land. That's just my opinion. People may have different view points. BTW, the thing is extremely slow and is uncomfortable if the funicular is full.
